Russ was raised in Pleasanton, Texas. While obtaining his Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from Texas State University in San Marcos, he worked in fine-dining as a server/bartender. In school, he was actively involved as a researcher for chemistry as well as teaching it at entry-level for incoming freshman.
Having been born of a farming family with an operation in Bishop, TX and being raised on a ranch for the majority of his life, Russ enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. From fall to spring he likes to spend his spare time hunting at his family's hunting ranch. When not hunting, he enjoys going to Medina Lake as well as Port Aransas where he likes to fish, relax, and explore local eating spots.
